Our Good Neighbours scheme puts our
VOLUNTEERS in touch with those in our parish who need a little help. This could be because they have no friends or family close by, or they may be struggling with health issues and just can’t easily get out and about on their own. For whatever reason they may need a helping hand and we are trying to organise that with YOUR help.
Maybe they need a lift to the doctors or a light bulb changed, a little shopping or maybe just a friendly face to have a cup of tea and natter with. Perhaps even just a regular telephone call from someone asking how they are? These are things most of us take for granted. So even if you can’t get out and about, you could be a volunteer and make a telephone call to someone who would like to hear a friendly voice.
We already have some volunteers who have come on board and are DBS checked but we need more, so please get in touch with us.
We also really need CO-ORDINATORS who can take telephone calls and match the help needed with our list of volunteers.
You can provide as much or as little time as you are able to, it is totally up to you, and it doesn’t have to be every week, just when you are able to.
